Pennsylvania Railroad Power House Stacks

Year: 2006
Project: A joint effort with the Roebling Chapter of the Society for Industrial Archeology to save the smokestacks on the Pennsylvania Railroad Power Station, an engineering and architectural masterpiece built in 1909. The postcard campaign to the NYC Landmarks Commission was unsuccessful and the stack were removed in 2006 by developers converting the building to condominiums. Illustrations by Monte Antrim.
